I forgot to mention that in addition to visiting with Vito and Wilma, we will also be able to see our newest cousin. They are having a baby girl in February. Her name will be Giulia (pronounced just like we say "Julia"). The blessings just keep on coming!

Getting Closer By The Day

As of today, there are only 115 days left before we leave for Italy. I think I have my list ready for the things I will need to take, and I have most of the items I will need to take already purchased. We have decided that we are going to send our gifts for our Italian family and friends ahead so we have more space in our luggage. Things have really come together nicely and we have a great itinerary planned for our trip. I have added an additional day on the return trip home for jet-lag. I just feel that I will need it, and if I don't then it will still give me an extra day to pull together my photos. Can't wait to get there!

I am Greg Smith. I work for the North Carolina Community College System in Greenville, NC, but I serve the entire State of North Carolina. This is my first trip to Italy, and thankfully it is with my twin brother who has been one time before. I am relying on him to get me through the ins-and-outs of traveling abroad for my very first time, and especially with the language barrier. In addition, our cousin will serve as our host, interpreter, tour guide, and family mentor while we are there.
